E.g. You should get a college degree, so just in case you are not successful as a singer, you will have something to fall back on.
2. Fall behind: to progress more slowly than others; to be at a lower level than others
(دوسروں کے مقابلہ میں زیادہ آہستہ حرکت کرنا؛ دوسرے کے مقابلہ کمترسطح پر ہونا)
E.g. I was sick for a week, so I fell behind in class. Now I have to do extra work just to catch up.
3. Fall for:
1) to be attracted to someone; to fall in love with someone
(کسی کی جانب کھنچا ہوا ہونا؛ کسی کے پیار میں گرفتار ہونا)
E.g. Jane fell for Bill the first time she laid eyes on him. It was love at first sight.
2) to believe a lie; to be tricked by someone; to be gullible
(جھوٹ پر یقین کرنا؛ کسی کی چال کا شکار ہونا؛ سادہ لوح ہونا)
E.g. I told Mike that it was snowing in the desert and he believed me! That guy falls for everything!
4. Fall into: to “end up” doing something that you hadn’t planned to do or didn’t originally want to do
("انجام کار" کسی ایسی چیز کو "کرنا" جسے کرنے کا آپ نے منصوبہ نہیں بنایا تھا یا جسے آپ اصل میں کرنا نہیں چاہتے تھے)
E.g. Jack used to be a model student, but recently he fell into the wrong crowd and has been getting into trouble.
5. Fall off: to decrease (especially: sales, numbers, profits, etc.)
(گھٹنا (بالخصوص: فروخت، اعداد، منافع، وغیرہ)
E.g. After the holiday peak season, sales usually fall off until the summer.
6. Fall through: if a plan is unsuccessful or an expectation is not met, you say it “fell through”
(اگر کوئی منصوبہ ناکام ہو جائے یا کوئی امید پوری نہ ہو، تو آپ کہیں گے کہ وہ “fell through” ہو گیا۔)
E.g. We were going to go camping this weekend, but our plans fell through due to the rain.
